Beautiful lines, amazing drivetrain and just one unit. This is the Ferrari SP38 based on 488 GTB.
Ferrari has revealed the latest project of its programme for individual customers. The SP38 is based on 488 GTB and uses a chassis and drivetrain. It was ordered by “one of Ferrari’s most dedicated customers”, who has just received the keys for a special supercar at the Fiorano circuit.
The design of the car comes from the Ferrari Design Center and reflects the vision of the customer, an enthusiast with a great passion for racing. Ferrari describes the project as a great super-car, with “…all the beauty and innovation inherent in Ferrari’s road cars”. The inspiration was also provided by the iconic F40, which is the source of colour and a three-layer lacquer.
The car has a completely unique front end with narrow headlights, which together with the pulled out nose look superb. At the rear, you’ll find the most references to F40, a unique engine cover and special ribbing for an extraordinary spoiler.
Ferrari has not published any photos of the interior, but ensures that it was created especially for this model and is unique. It can be assumed that this is simply a Ferrari 488 GTB cab in a unique combination of colours and made of special materials.
The SP38 will be presented to the public for the first time on 26th May during the upcoming Conorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
